Metal roof panels

Metal roof panels installed recently over 30lb felt and versashield fire barrier. Underlayment nails/tin tags poking from under the panels. Code states the panels should withstand foot traffic without damaging panels, this issue appears to violate that requirement . Has anyone experienced this before?

Welcome back to the forum, Dennis!..Enjoy!

Maybe narrate:

“Accepted practices state the panels should withstand foot traffic without damaging panels, this issue appears to violate that requirement .”

Then, pull the code card out, if you get push back, Dennis.

It’s actually a roof in progress inspection before the final

Long time no see/hear Dennis. Hope everything is well at your end.

Not me. First time. Typically see standing seam metal and copper roofs. Thicker steel gauges.

Report: Dented roof panel due to raised fastener.
Refer to a licensed roofing contractor.

Morning, Dennis. I had you confused with Billy Bonner. Sorry.

Looking closer at the raised fastener, it appears to be a screw backing out or a poorly set standing seam clip screw.
Below are 2 images. One image enlarged from your post. One image of how standing seams are fastened to the sheathing.

I have determined the nails in contact with the metal panels is unacceptable and the roof will have to be replaced
