I read this bill yesterday and no where in this bill does it state the requirements for licensing I.E. what type of schooling, tests, any grandfathering for existing inspectors etc… also the companion bill for the fees for a license is $210.00, a little excessive don’t you think? I have my builders license and that’s only $50.00 every 2 years why so high for this license? This bill still needs work…

Only $210? Nice deal.

I just spent $800 in license fees here in the Land of Lincoln.

I guess it's all relative!

Was that $800 a one time fee? The $210.00 would be yearly here in Michigan.

$400 for my license.

$400 for my companies license.

Although, I do get 2 years. So to do a proper comparison, $400/Year.

Jeffrey -

Anybody living in Illinois should feel privileged to pay $800 for 2 years. What a deal. I'm so darned embarrassed to be an unregulated and unlicensed inspector (so far). How can I hold my head up? Oh woe is me!!

icon_biggrin.gif I do feel honored and privileged Dan!

You unlicensed, unregulated types are bad for the consumer!!

(At least that's what they told me when I was writing out the checks! )
