Hi,
Just getting started here in Minnesota. I'm still in the data collection stage. I've hunted around to see if there are any licensing requirements for home inspectors in my state. I can't find anything that says I must be licensed. Does anyone know for sure?

No law requirements here yet... but Wisconsin you need a license (pretty weird, because here in Minnesota we need to be under a Master Plumber's supervision when doing plumbing, but over in Wisconsin... don't need that supervision)

I did hear from a realtor that just came from a class in Minneapolis that starting 1 July Minnesota will require a license or certification. If anyone else has heard anything I would like to know.

So far I have found one bill in the house that has some interesting language that would require the establishment of a web page that lists all home inspectors and provides information on how to select a home inspector, Here is a link. Check out lines 6.29-7.24
