I am an inspector in Washington state. It is a very government controlled state. Licensing is not just registering with the state but also includes bonding and insurance requirements. The cost of state licensing makes it very difficult for the small business person. Home inspections is still a relatively small industry and they (the government) hope it does not have enough power to stop them. There are too many builders and contractors for them to try to license them first. If they get this legislation through the next target will be the builders and contractors. Get all of them you know to join in with you to stop the licensing requirements. Keep the government working for you, not ruling over you!!!
