Does anyone know if engineered seismic jack stands are a requirement on mobile homes in California…what year was required…and does it pertain to older units aswell or when older units change owners?
Any help would be appreciated.

Great link David, thanks!
Earthquake Resistant Bracing Systems (ERBS) are not “required” by the state of CA for mobile/manufactured homes. M/M homes are originally installed per HUD (Federal) guidelines.
However, individual “parks” (if you will) sometimes require specific ERBS. Also, many insurance companies will require their installation upon resale of the home.
