"NACHI Certified Energy Inspector"

I just saw a guy on Facebook advertising a new logo for a “NACHI Certified Energy Inspector” and claiming that he can “save hundreds” on utility bills.

What is a “NACHI Certified Energy Inspector” and what do they do to accomplish this? Has anyone heard of this? Is this a part of that on-line home energy score thing or is it something else?

I’d say similar to a “NACHI Certified Home Inspector”.

BUT… are they a “Full Time NACHI Certified Energy Inspector” with a logo

I think Nick said nobody is a Certified Inspector, their a Certified member of NACHI, probably similar.

That’s what I was hinting at.

I know that, Chris…

And soon, with Nachi’s help, they’ll be enough Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and Lowe’s gift certificates to enable the client to basically get their Home Energy Audit performed for free. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I’m going to start using that. I’ll call myself the home energy tripple threat. With my BPI, Resnet and Nachi certs.

Do like you did with the “full time home inspector” certification/logo. Just beg Nick to make a logo and designation, make up some qualifications, it’s that simple. Maybe you and your friend McKenna can get together and put on a “NACHI Certified Energy Inspector” class and sell energy sniffing dogs.;)

I guess you got your answers James.

It’s not ours. We’re InterNACHI.

Sniff this.

The full-time logo isn’t InterNACHI’s either and isn’t an InterNACHI certification. It’s just a logo we designed for some members who wanted it, just like we designed these for members: www.nachi.org/inspector-logos.htm (scroll down to view more).

Ours are here: www.nachi.org/logos.htm

It is what it is Nick.

Appearances matter.

I’ll make you one called “Full color photos” or “Family owned and operated” or anything else a member thinks might help.

No offense to those inspectors who don’t take pictures or who operate franchises. My point is that if you think it helps you, we’ll help you do it.

So are you saying there is no such thing as an “InterNachi Certified Energy Inspector”?

Not that I know of, but InterNACHI has operations in some 65 countries and in nine different languages… so I am sometimes one of the last to get the memo.

Oh, “Certified Professional Inspector” is ours. That isn’t even close to the designation that is the topic of this thread. They aren’t even the same number of words in length.

That’s a totally different designation that is for InterNACHI members in good standing. Certified Professional Inspector is one of our Registered Trademarks. See: http://www.nachi.org/cpi.htm

No, but the logo you’ll find when you scroll down the page is.

So the “Certified Home Energy Inspector Logo****************” toward bottom of page is just a 'logo", and nothing more?
