I launched my business exactly one week ago, and at 4:30 p.m. today I booked my 8th inspection. (Two down, six starting tomorrow through middle of next week).
I believe I owe a big thanks to NACHI, for these message boards and information forums, for the confidence that comes with being a member of such a kick A$$ outfit, and for the "Total Quality Service" example set by Nick, Dave Bush and the other backbone members.
For instance, I called Nick at what had to be 11 pm his time to join NACHI, and early the next day I had confirmation e-mails with my membership info, and to let me know I was in and rolling. In less than a week I'd received what looked like a Doctorate diploma from Harvard but was NACHI's membership certificate. (I immediately scanned it and put it on my website). I announced my desire to start a local chapter, and within 24 hours Dave Bush was on the phone with me giving me guidance. I've had technical questions about firewalls, electrical, mobile homes, etc., and always there are fact-based, intelligent, well-written answers almost instantly!
With these performances, NACHI set the tone for the level of personal service I want to present to my inspection clients, and the people I market to. And whether this first week has been a fluke or a sign of what's to come, I want to thank NACHI and its members for helping me get off to a strong start.
Sincerely,
Brandon Nelson
