i agree, it has to stop. but that would involve regulation of some sort. oh well.
It doesn’t surprise me… here in Maui there really is no such thing as a first-time buyer unless mom and dad and ponying up some serious down payment cash. Rates being so low for so long allowed prices to skyrocket and sellers don’t seem anxious to budge so they are just staying put. People have to live somewhere so smart money is in increasing the # of rentals.
