Hey if you can charge $45 for a generic wrist strap, $75 for a generic lens cap or $325 for a Hardigg Storm case with a molded Styrofoam liner and painted logo http://www.tequipment.net/FlirPriceList.html, why shouldn’t you expect to be able to gouge big money for training too?
Price margins in this industry are insane. Makes you wonder just how much a point and shoot digital would cost you if these companies were your only choice.

$1695 for 4 days is an expensive education? My wife’s is $1923 per week, every week (34 weeks out of the year) for the next 4 years. Plus the $384 per week she already paid per week, every year for the 4 years prior. Even after all of that, she will make less per year than some home inspectors I know.
The Snell Group is highly respected and so are so busy with demand for courses, their biggest challenge is to keep up with the demand. I have taken the Level I course and I will take Level II. Without exception, every single student taking the class rated the class and the instructor very high and everyone said they would be back for Level II.
Their exams are proctored and you can’t slide by. You need a 70% average and no one test can be below 70%. My company will continue to sponsor Snell Level I/II classes. It is a total win-win for my company and my customers.
