It doesn’t look like it gives a moisture %, only beeps faster with more % moisture. And, it beeps when you touch it to your dry looking finger, I think it said, because it is so sensitive.

The reason I got one, is it is lighter than the ladder. When I need to check the ceiling that the IR Camera highlights, the 30" saves having to grab and set up a ladder in that room, for up to 9ft ceilings. Don’t push to hard though, though prongs can leave big holes. GL Theo.
