No I-Beam

Or a full roll of duct tape!!! :mrgreen:

Now hold on a minute…here in NASCAR country duct tape is at least good for 200 miles per hour… watch any NASCAR race on Sunday and you will see…lol

Thanks.
Serves same purpose as bridging.

That illustrates my point very well. I would feel safer with duct tape vs gypsum board. :smiley:

Duct tape. LOL In my companies standard, any bearing wall carrying substantial weight 8’ or high will have solid blocking as shown on Marcel’s detail, regarless of sheathing with drywall.
If the studs don’t bow, they will eventually twist to hell and there is no drywall that will prevent that from happening.
Of course this would be in newer construction and very rarely see it on the standard home construction.
Usually one can just comment or recommend to install blocking if the studs are bowing or twisting on an existing construction with no blocking.
Depending on the dryness and moisture content, most will dry straight.
Typically enough moisture content in the basement to control the distortion.
Duct tape. :mrgreen::slight_smile:

Glad I could put a smile on your face this morning Marcel. Hope you have a great weekend! :smiley:
