Odd little vent on bedroom wall

2003 three bedroom home in central Florida. Found this odd little vent on the master bedroom wall (none in any other bedrooms). On the opposite side of the wall is the master bath ceramic tile shower (standard shower). Nothing in the wall as you look through the hole. Anyone have an idea what it is or what its for. Thanks

Roy, thanks, that would make since I guess. There were no cables but maybe installed for future use.
