Do you know of any of the Evil Contractors actually doing what you fear and hate so much? Kind of seems like Nachi’s Founders fear of Contractors giving away inspections in the hope of getting some work. Not a real good business plan if you ask me.
Those are your words, not mine. Once again, I have no issue with contractors. I have held contactor’s licenses in other states. My issue is the double standard that currently exists as a result of the CILB Koning Dec statement. Try and keep up here. Try and look at the issue objectively rather than trying to make this a fight between contractors and professional inspectors.
I am also not concerned with anyone’s business model.
You are the one that can not look at it objectively. You are stuck on a non-issue. On the other hand I wish they had not made that improper dec statement, but time will let it play out.
I agree with you Nick, but there are many agents out there that are looking to cut corners and try to find inspectors that wont find defects that a NACHI inspector is trained to find. if it wasn’t for state licensing there would be inspectors that only had a few weeks of training and go out and preform a lot of unqualified inspections for unsuspecting clients. Now I am not saying all Realtor’s are bad people. There are great Realtor’s out there that will only use NACHI inspectors. After doing that research I am glad to belong to a great organization.
