A client just called regarding his furnace. When he initially turned it on, the bottom motor ran for approximately 3 minutes and then shut off. There is oil in the tank. The oil and return lines are at the top of the tank.

New lines have been installed. What could be the problem?

Are you talking about the blower motor or the burner motor ran for 3 minutes?

Tell him he may have to reset the burner. Reset (red) button should be located on the burner. Push it only once. If there is a problem the burner should shut down again. Do Not Push It Again. Then he can call the oil co. for repair.
