I am not too familiar with the inner workings of a oil fired steam boiler and found this broken liner inside the front access panel at a recent inspection. How big an issue is this? Is this part replaceable or is the boiler in need of replacement? I was not able to operate the heating system as the thermostat was not functioning - may have been intentional. A comment on the service tag from 2001 said “unit needs chamber kit”. Is this the same thing? Any help and comments would be appreciated.
