The NACHI announcement indicates that:

Attendance counts as 8 hours toward NACHI member continuing education requirements. You need not be a member to attend. All welcome.
I have presented over 6 seminars for NACHI and they were for local chapters. I did submit a detailed course and forms for the State of Illinois and it seems that they have been "lost" and no one has a clue as to what is happening there.
I will be in Oklahoma on June 11, 2005, and hope that you and the Oklahoma Chapter will be there -- it's FREE! for members.

OK! They have over 150 providers for Home Inspectors that they can use. Let them decide for themselves, in the meantime I will present the Electrical seminar as planned and the attendees will be awarded 8 NACHI CEU's.

It probably won’t matter if there is credit for this seminar or not considering i have not had one person rsvp for it. This is pathetic we go to the trouble of setting it up and NACHI is willing to pay for it except for the dinner (which is not a big deal) and you guy’s still won’t commit to it. Well if i’m the only one that shows up we are still having it. However i can promise everyone that we will not take the time or the trouble or the funds from NACHI to do anything else like this until there is more of a commitment from the members in Oklahoma. I have tried to have quarterly meeting’s and i can only get 5 or 6 people say that they will attend, well guy’s i can’t hardly ask someone to come and speak on some subject when there is only going to be that many attending. How embarrassing would that be for NACHI or myself after i convince someone that we are really interested in his product or service and would like to hear about it and then he gets here to speak and there are only 5 or 6 people present. Well it’s not going to happen i won’t do it and i won’t ask a company to send a representative to speak when the commitment is so low in this chapter.

Ken the problem is that NACHI staff needs about 60 days notice to properly advertise. Even is we get the letters in the mail in 2 weeks, people usually need a 3 week notice to attend. The letters for this meeting won’t go out until next week, giving only a few days notice for the event. This is a very common problem experienced by members who try to hold events without enough advertising time.
This is why NACHI always advises that you set these up well in advance. See red wording in http://www.nachi.org/form (which has been there for at least a year).
I'm sure you'll get 20 attendees or so. I'll see if we can get out the announcement letters next week.
