One step closer to offering an accredited University Associate Degree in Inspections.

Yes.

Outstanding! Thanks Nick!

This is cool, way to go Nick and InterNACHI!!

I’m looking forward to this.

Congrats, Nick! That will be quite an accomplishment!

Congratulations Nick and InterNachi! Will Canadian Inspectors be able to participate?

Yes. We’re going to be a University. So anyone, anywhere, can attend.

This is going to be epic. The possibilities are endless and like Frank said, there will be no way for the other associations to even keep their head above water. Game changer is exactly what this is.

Are you going to start charging like universities? I still can’t believe all we get for the $500.00 a year we pay… and now a college degree. Mind is properly blown!

Free for members. Somewhat pricey for everyone else.

We might be able to push the industry right up close to the level of Architects and Engineers with this.

As it should be.

Awesome Nick can’t wait to have my Diploma hanging on my wall!

I’d rather you put it on your inspection business homepage.

Congratulations! This will be a great step of bringing greater validation to the home inspection industry. This credibility of Excellence will be great!

Thanks for all that you, the entire InterNACHI team and the many members who make the world of residential and commercial inspection be what it is!

Thanks to everyone!

But, but, but I read on another association site’s forum that InterNachi is only a marketing firm. And they’ll pay $50 to anyone who can convince someone to join them.

opps.

lol.

InterNACHI has always put education first and marketing second (just like home inspectors should).

InterNACHI has now been awarded more than 1,400 governmental approvals and accreditations: www.nachi.org/approved.htm All the other mini-societies and schools combined don’t have as many. InterNACHI is #1 in inspector education.

Having already achieved a secondary degree in psychology with credits toward a master’s in administration leadership, plus all of my current certs and experiences, I am hoping that experience and education ( credit for time served) will just about equate for the associates already in my case and those of us who already have secondary degrees and at least five years of inspection experience. Is this something you are considering? Since 5 years of experience is generally worth 4 years of education, it would make a great deal of sense for those of us who meet these criteria. There are many degree programs that operate in this manner.

The inspection education you have taken at InterNACHI will count. Inspection-unrelated degrees (like psychology) and work experience won’t. It’s just not something we’d have any chance of getting approved. If you want a professional designation that is based on experience, I suggest you look into www.certifiedmasterinspector.org

Does this mean more people looking for employment, or changing careers, or going to become home inspectors?
