It might be less than 1,700 when it’s all said and done, but it’s going to be a bit more than 1,000 online hours. The standard formula for awarding hours is generous IMHO, so it should take most inspectors much less real time.
Are we talking real-time or Credit Hours? Are any Core General Education credits transferable? I have a few courses from State College of Florida from my Construction Management classes.

Nick, so how many credit hours will a current 8 hour course count toward the degree (for example). Just curious, and sorry if that was already answered.
What ever it has to be, it has to be. I definitely look forward to it. I need to buckle down and start taking InterNACHI classes again to start logging in some more credit hours.
What’s the tuition going to be, cost per credit hour?
Same as usual, they won’t answer their phone or respond to your email.
Kind of pricey for non-members. Free for members.
I can’t wait for this to get launched, marketing will be so cool, Does your home inspector have an associates degree in home inspecting?
So how about letting a couple of us go ahead and get started on the courses, while you are awaiting accreditation? If not, then can you please provide us with a detailed description of what we are likely to see?
You can start on the ones we released right now: www.nachi.org/education.htm
This is pretty sweet. I’ve been impressed with InterNACHI since I’ve joined and this will definitely separate InterNACHI members from other inspectors. This sounds similar to what the Air Force did. You earn a CCAF which is an associate’s degree from your training and AF related classes you’ve taken throughout your career along with 5 core classes (Math, English, Science, Speech, and History). Getting this AS basically separates you from your peers and more opportunities usually arise. It’s actually one the first things a lot Commanders or Chiefs ask, “Does he/she have his CCAF” before they approve orders or recommend you for special assignments. I’m sure it would work something like that with potential clients as well. This will be great to have.
Any updates regarding the Associate Degree program that will be offered to InterNachi members?
U.S. Department of Education is doing one of their final reviews. We have to move to a nice commercial building to open the University. We found a new, 14,000+ square foot building and are meeting with the owners tomorrow at 3:30 to sign a 6 year lease. We’ll also finally be constructing our live House of Horrors inside the warehouse which has a 20’ ceiling height and two tractor trailer loading docks.
InterNACHI actually has “House of Horrors” Trademarked and on the Principal Register.
Cool, is serial number 77481794 InterNACHI’s?
How long will it take to do a final review? This is pretty cool news…an AS in Home Inspections
I assume we still need to “apply” and have our transcripts sent in.
I wonder if I will just need the transcript the college I graduated from or both colleges I attended.
