Online entrance exam

Anybody else have trouble with the online entrance exam? It’s telling me to complete that before moving on to other courses but how am I suppose to study for it without taking other classes first?

No part of our website says that.

Hi, Joshua. Can you send Tanya@internachi.org a screen shot of what you’re seeing? That would be helpful to us. Until then, members have access to the online inspector exam and all online courses, which can be taken at any time in any sequence. To become a certified home inspector, we recommend following the sequence listed at https://www.nachi.org/cpi-requirements.htm Hope that helps.

I feel like I should take more of the courses that are required in order to pass the entrance exam. Are those the only actuall requirements to get licensed? Or do I have to do all of the ones that are required within your first year? Regardless I’m going to take them all anyway but was just wondering.
Thanks for your help guys

Did you see what I posted?

Just take the exam. There are very few requirements to become a member. Passing the exam is number 2, after you make payment.

You might have a point Joshua. Generally, we try to push students into taking the online exam so that we (and they) know where they are weakest, technically. There is no harm in failing and no cost to try again. We might tweak that instruction some.

Hi Joshua, you can take the online exam at any point. All of our CPI Requirements can be completed in any order. However, once you complete 3 basic steps you will be able to use the CPI logo. Those minimum requirements are: The Online Entrance Exam, The Code of Ethics Course, and the InterNACHI Standards of Practice Course.

So, if you take a look at our CPI page: https://www.nachi.org/cpi-requirements.htm, you will see those requirements at the top. Followed by 12 other courses that need to be completed within one year. Please feel free to email me at tanya@internachi.org if you have any other questions.
