opinion on section 3

Many of the '02-'06, permited roofs in St. Lucie County and Martin County were NOT renailed. These all remain a Stapled roof deck attachments…The Public has complained and only recently has the Building Inspectors started inspecting for this on reroofs.

If the roof has been re-nailed during a reroof, you know it. On new construction is the only time it can be a challenge.

Guys for the most part I do agree. I have seen many roofs that were not re nailed and those that are most always have shiners. But with that said the original post was of a picture of a batten roof. When the original roof covering was stripped off the top cord of the truss would have been clearly visible too the roofer making it nearly impossible to miss nail. The home is also located in Palm Beach County which does not accept roofing affidavits. They require an in progress dry-in inspection so that the nailing can be verified by the inspector. I’m not a proponent of using the mt-6 to verify nail length as that is certainly an inexact science but in this particular application i would make every effort
