Guys…those of you who have videos can you please watch them and send them on. I ordered 4 videos over a month ago…when I joined NACHI, and have yet to receive one of them. This frustrates me to no end. I am looking forward to viewing these videos and frankly am truly tired of watching the mail daily for them to arrive. I was about to purchase them but then figured …why should I…this is a free service offered by our organization. However, if we have members who procrastinate in sending the item off to the next waiting member, or are just too lazy to do so, this is the result. A new member who is completely frustrated. I would welcome all of your comments on this topic.

The “plumbing video” is officially unstuck from the VCR and can be shipped out. Whoever wants it let me know with your address & I will send it to you. I watched about 20 minutes of it and that was it. I think they suck but that is my opinion.

Jeff,
Can you define "suck"? I watched the wood destroying insect video produced by ITA. It was so dull and boring I fell asleep twice trying to get through the whole thing! I heard these ITA videos were pretty good, so much for their opinion.

“suck”, well,… my definition was that is was boring, poor quality and difficult to learn from. The plumbing video I have is not an ITA video but a SPREI video. I thank the man who donated and made the video but I hate video that just tapes someone talking at the front of a class while showing overheads in the dark. Very difficult to watch, hear & follow. I can’t argue with the free price but it does not work for me. Thanks anyway & it will be in the mail tomorrow to the next person.

I am considering on joining Nachi and I was reading the posts on “Continuing Education” and do not like what I am hearing about the video transfer to members who are waiting for videos.
Is it true that these educational videos are hard to obtain and why?
I am truly interested in watching these videos, but I am hearing that some are useless. If these videos are not as educational as they are suppose to be, then why have them? I think that any training video that is boring should be taken out of the line of viewers!!!
Can someone tell me more about what videos are worth viewing and what videos are “CRAP”. And what should be done to improve the video handling, so Nick can take note and make changes, Hopefully.

David,
There is a multitude of qualifying things that can be credited
toward CEU's. Video tapes should not deter you from joining
NACHI. I can speak from my own experience for myself
and my colleagues that this organization is simply the best.
Thanks,
