Patrick Carter - Give him our strength

Today I learned that a good friend of mine and a long time NACHI member is faced with some tough decisions and times in his familys lives. Patrick will probably shoot me for making this post, but I am concerned. I leave it up to Patrick to share any information that he either wishes or does not wish to share.

I ask that all NACHI members send their love to Patrick and his family during this time. Show him that we are all concerned and the NACHI family stands behind him and his family in both strength and prayer.

Patrick, My dear NACHI brother, my family and I will pray for you and your family daily in the hopes of strength, courage, and hope.

Bless you my friend.

Dear Patrick,

I don’t know what you are going through, but I do know that my NACHI family was here and supported me when I was new and unknown. I want you to know that you and your family have my prayers and support and I know that the rest of your online family cares about you and will be praying for you as well.
Please know that if you ever need anything you need not hesitate to ask. Even if it’s just someone to talk to. Take care and be well.

Sincerely,
Wendy

Prayers for you and yours, Patrick…strength, courage and hope.

Peace and blessings, Patrick, to you & yours . . .

Patrick…

In this moment of your personal and family crisis - this battlefield that we know as the NACHI message board comes to a collective silence.

We look away from the smaller issues that divide us, for this moment, to unite in love and prayer for you and your family.

Whatever the problem is and no matter how insurmountable it seems to be, know that all of us - as we collectively lower our swords and raise our hearts in prayer - are calling upon an even greater power to be with you and your family during this difficult time.

Peace, brother.

Everytime we make it through one of life’s many bumps in the road, we become much stronger. From my own experiences I know this to be true.

First of all, let me pass on my thanks to everyone who has expressed their well wishes, prayers and thoughts privately and here on the MB. No John I’m not going to shoot you, and appreciate your support and friendship. I am not sure how to respond to this thread since I have more questions than answers as well as going through an emotional roller coaster. So I am going to try my best and get to the point and share with you what has occurred.

***I was diagnosed last Wednesday with a cancerous tumor in the colon. The tumor is not operable at this time due to size and where it is located. I will be starting chemotherapy on Thursday of this week and radiation within the next couple of weeks to try and reduce the size of the tumor so they can remove it. I do not know at this time how long it will be before the surgeon can remove the tumor. I am not in pain but I do feel some discomfort periodically. ***

My family and I (with advice from personal and professional friends, my business attorney and accountant) have decided that it would be best for me to focus on fighting this disease and thus suspend operation of the inspection business immediately. I am drafting a letter to notify my existing inspection clientele that I will be suspending operations for a short period of time due to illness and to those that have inspections scheduled in the next few months that I have made arrangements with other NACHI inspectors to cover their inspections with their (client) permission. The WoodShop that I own will stay in business and I have hired an additional individual (which I had planned on doing prior to this) to help my sons and employees. With our medical insurance, investments, saving and income from the WoodShop we should be financially okay with making some budget adjustments and eliminating unnecessary expenses.

I will continue to read, respond when I feel I can, to posts that I might be able to assist or share a opinion on this MB, I’m not going away, just have to alter my life a bit to get over this bump in the road.

Again thank you all for your support, prayers and thoughts, it is most appreciated.

Patrick,

May God bless you and keep you in his arms.

You are in my prayers.

Warmest Regards, Frank

Patrick,

I pray the Lord of ALL comfort would bless you and your family during the days ahead.

It is so very hard now to try to figure out the “whys” of why this happened…just remember that HE works ALL things for the better!

May your family become stronger through this and may we hear of the joy and laughter which comes from growing closer.

To Jehovah Raffa (name of God Almighty - Redeemer/Restorer/Healer) I pray that you would be made to stronger and better that before this.

God be with you dude!
