Perforated Drain Pipe

FYI - Attached is one of today’s photos showing a downspout connected to a perforated drain pipe. This IMO is worse than allowing surface discharge. Your basically draining the water into the soil close to the foundation and footing. This could easily be overlooked from a distance.

Gotta water those weeds somehow. Subsurface injection supports healthy root growth!

Was that connected to the underdrain or just discharging in the sub-surface.

Marcel, the surface discharge pipe was several feet away in the front yard.

Might not be much of a problem if the perforations are oriented properly, but leaves could become a problem if they don’t have leaf gutter guards or this adaptor.
