Those photos of the crimps look exactly like the ones in thousands of motorhomes that use PEX plumbing. In my current new motorhome, I had one fitting leak because it was not crimped properly.
HOWEVER, although they are used successfully in thousands of motorhomes, they have (or should have per manufacturer strong recommendation) a pressure regulator on the incoming water line that limits the pressure to 40-45 psi. They strongly warn that pressure above that may blow waterlines at the crimps or cause leakage.

Hello
Thanks for the information.
We do have a re-circulating pump on the system. We thought it was for hot water...instant. Not sure if it is for hot water or for pressure?
We cannot get a plumber to repipe. At least not yet. They come here, look around and then just drop it. We have the money to pay them for God's sake. I just don't get it.
The house is new (1 yr) and really big....long actually.

You may have trouble finding a plumber if word gets out between plumbers that there is possible Litigation on a job that a fellow plumber did they are vary weary to step in. You will more than likely have to get one of the top most expensive licensed and Insured contractors in your state to do a repipe at this point.

I’d go with copper. Hands down. Type L copper is pretty strong. I’ve never seen Type K before. I don’t even know if they sell type K at Home Depot. I’ve just seen the Type M and Type L. Type L copper is PLENTY strong. Type M copper is fine, though. Also, if you have a leak with copper, 99% of the time, you’ll see a nice mist spraying. You won’t have a little drip (which is hard to detect).
Sorry to hear about the misfortune. I hope everything goes okay and after its all said and done, you can put it behind you

If you do have a recirculating pump on your system and you are going to plumb in copper then use type K or L. The constant circulating of water will wear out the pipes over time. K is the thickest so it would last the longest. M is the thinest so it wears out the soonest. Most people find L is a good comprimise between strenght (pipe wall thickness) and price.
