PEX manifold for water distribution

I do not recall much discussion about a distribution manifold in the training. Is there anything specific to look out for? Failure modes?

Is that a ‘new construction’ home?
Some of the older Zurn Manifold systems had issues!

it looks nice and neatly done from ohio, If I found no signs of leakage or failure I would just move on…

House was built in 2017. Inspection is in a few hours. Just making sure I know what to look for…

I like these systems. I evaluate for leaks, visible damage, and other common plumbing issues.

Nice looking manifold. There’s nothing to report on unless there’s a leak. I prefer manifolds for proper water distribution. It takes a shorter time to get hot water to a fixture when there’s a manifold and the plumber doesn’t daisychain from bathroom to bathroom, etc..

For whatever reason, I never see manifolds. But Pex is common.

I just direct clients to a blog on my website about the pros and cons of Pex.

And then I check for any direct sunlight.

Once I saw PEX going to the main house to a guest house, by laying in the roof, with a patio connecting them. Yeah, that wasn’t good.
