I’ve posted about this before, but I’ll try again. Can anyone show me a picture, illustration, or explain to me the proper way to connect a dishwasher drain line to an existing drain line, say in a crawlspace. Or say the dishwasher is installed in an island and you can’t connect to GD or drain under sink.
Thanks.

I looked at a previous post here: http://www.nachi.org/forum/f22/dishwasher-drain-installation-49277/
And the manufacturer’s installation instructions posted say the the drain connection must be 20" above the floor that the dishwasher sits on.

Can a new 1 1/2 or 2" or so drain line be run up through the floor next to your example located dishwasher and attach the drain to that?

I don’t know. How do you normally do it if dishwasher is installed in an island with no sink?

Basicaly the 20 inch thing is refering to having a trap.
Thast is all related to cross contamination.
