This thread may be too taboo for some of us. Don’t worry though.
I've been an animal rights activist all my life.
I've been a member or the National Rifle Association all my life.
I can probably keep the thread going just by arguing with myself. I'll hide my ammo before I start. I don't want my NRA 1/2 to shoot my Animal Rights 1/2. ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
My response to that page:
A) George W. Bush in army fatigue is B.S. When he had to show up for real duty (1972-73) he was nowhere to be seen. (http://www.awolbush.com)
B) In their name? More like in the name of:

C) What a difference an administration change makes. Here's a chart of our national debt over the past few years:
D) Def. 1/Def. 2 of "Let's Roll" are about the same....publicity shots.
E) The picture of Hillary Clinton was just sexist.
We certainly won't join NACHI now. Your post lost NACHI about $1,734 today.

What does the above web-site have to do with home inspectors? And why is NACHI's executive director promoting it? I try to respect others' political views, but I certainly feel that the web-site you hotlinked to should not be promoted by NACHI. The sexist content alone is reason enough to leave it off this message board.

related posts, are a sort of welcome mat for controversial inspection-related posts.
Everyone from our worst critics and adversaries (ex: the PHIC issue) to government officials (ex: the Nations Hazard issue) truly feel free to come on this board and post.
Its a beautiful thing.
Nick
PS I loved your comments too. Thanks for having the guts to post them. They are, like all other posts, very welcome. And so are you.

How quickly we forget about Drop Your Pants Clinton, awwwww yes the good old days before the war when we didn’t have to spend all that extra money defending our country. And yes it is all about oil. As you see the prices at the pump have really come down now that we have all that oil from all over the world. When will people wake up and realize that it was about oil we would just go over there and take the damn stuff.

I had to read your post a couple times. I've learned the hard way that sarcasm is hard to relate on a message board, well at least until Chris comes up with that tongue-in-cheek Emoticon.
In WWII, the French, who have their own oil, accused the US of liberating France just to get our hands on their oil too.
They of course were wrong and the Eiffel tower isn't now a US oil rig.
I do want to get our men and boys out of there though. Ooops, I mean men, boys, and women.

I thought it was interesting that Bush II has not endorsed any of the Republicans running for governor of California. Then I heard that he actually wants to endorse Arnold Schwarzenegger but has refrained from doing so because he can’t pronounce Schwarzenegger. He keeps saying Schwarzen*gger.
Work on nuclear, George, and then we'll let you work on Schwarzenegger.

Hey, John.
I was going to run for Governor. I had a couple of problems though. While I was in college at Texas A&M, I ran afoul of the law once. We had this tradition where once we got our Aggie rings, we did not put them on. We took them over to the Dixie Chicken at Northgate, bought a pitcher of beer, dropped our ring in the pitcher, drank the pitcher, and the last swallow of beer was drank directly from the pitcher as we caught the ring with our teeth. Only then could be put it on our finger. However, after drinking a pitcher of beer in only a couple of minutes (we were anxious to get that ring on our finger), one needed to use the facilities. Five thousand Aggies with new rings tended to overrun the facilities, meaning that quite a few would have to use "bottlecap alley" where the local cops would simply stand and wait, watch, and then arrest. So, alas, I have an arrest record. Not good for public office. ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif) ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif) ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif) ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif) ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif)
But I was willing to go forward for the good of the people.
One also needs 65 signatures of registered voters. I got 65 signatures, 49 from Texas, 14 from Louisiana, and 1 from California. Turns out all 65 signatures have to be of registered voters IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA!
Well duh! So I did not have the requisite number of signatures and was disqualified.
