Target Practice?

For some reason that post is in the MO thread so I cannot respond there.

I’m not a big fan of hunting but I understand it’s a sport as old as dinosaurs. But anyone who would shoot harmless little critters crossing a street should be hung from their nuts.

It’s a read only thread. Kind of like the cold water torture treatment I guess. icon_lol.gif We owned a sanctuary for injured animals in Colorado. So you can understand my feelings. Why not just get the vest and boots on and go pop some criminals instead. Everyone blasts the ASHI forum but at least it’s about home inspection.

I had eggs for breakfast today. They’re really easy to shoot and not quite as cute as little chickee’s and ducklings! icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Ever eat eggs Erol?

Will this discussion progress into Roe vs Wade? ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

Your suggested form of punishment seems cruel and unusual from a human perspective! Ouch.

You don't agree. Is that based on knowledge or Nachitized speculation?

As a Hunter, I fully support the efforts of these Organizations. Most people fail to realize that Taxpayers dollars are not used to fund the creation of Game Lands as well as Preservation efforts. Revenues generated thru Hunting Permits are what sustain the preservation of wildlife habitats and State gamelands.

True Hunters are Conservationists as they realize the importance of the preservation of Habitats and Feeding Grounds. Hunters thru Fees and Stamps are the ones paying for the Creation and Preservation of the Environments.

Actually —true hunters hunt for FOOD. There is no honor in shooting an animal with no real defences.

Maybe if you used a spear to kill a Cape buffalo, so your familly could eat. That would be sporting. I guess ![icon_confused.gif](upload://qv5zppiN69qCk2Y6JzaFYhrff8S.gif)

There are places like Indiana etc. that need the deer heard thind, but that is not my thing.

About 10 years ago I walked up on a Buck, A big one, I had my GP100 ready to go, but I did not shoot the beast.

I thought it was much better to look at him alive than to shoot him dead for no real reason.

I was not Hungary--- Fast food 30 miles away.

Erol and Todd . Thanks for your opinion I and others just might disagree.

I think you should thank your ancestors that they had the ability to hunt or you just might not be here.

I don’t hunt, much. Mostly fish. Just like to egg you guys on sometimes. No pun intended.

I love to shoot though. At the range. The 'Ole Red Rider doesn't hurt the animals I shoot it with. Just gets their attention. You have to lob those BB's in like mortars with it.

Evolution takes on many forms. Physical changes are very very slow taking millions of years while evolution of general society values is held back merely by our own ignorance.

I do a lot of genealogy research and appreciate that my ancestors did what they had to do in order to survive. There is a difference between that and shooting something because you have a gun in your hand and you see something that moves.

It sounds like you have not much idea on what hunting involves.
I think TV has shown a lot of the wrong information on many things .

Do you think any animal has a 'sporting' chance at the slaughter house? ![icon_rolleyes.gif](upload://iqxt7ABYC2TEBomNkCmZARIrQr6.gif)

Face it, we are carnivores plain and simple.

I do not hunt or go out of my way to hassle animals but it would be extremely two faced of me to come out against any of that.

Even though have I never killed an animal myself for food many animals have been killed for me.

Just because you buy it at the market does not make your hands clean of what had to have happened.

Once we stop the suffering of humans in this world than maybe I will begin to care more about the problems of a pea brained Goose.

It sickens me when someone gets a longer jail sentence for animal cruelty than for crimes against humans.

OK I am done, please pass me a Bacon Cheeseburger.

that legs weren't quite like wool.
No legless lamb farms anywhere!
Dick felt extremely cruel.

Dick sat down and worked it out,

It brought him close to tears.

But then he had a great idea.
He'd consumed but one leg of four.
And so without a shred of guilt,
Dick could eat three thousand more!

I love my meat, just couldn't kill it myself. Which probably makes me a wimp with clogged arteries. Oh well....
