I just inspected a home that was built in the 1930s. All of the home was plumbed with galvanized and iron drains. But the bunk house was repiped with what appears to be polybutylene? I need some help. Is this pipe polybutylene? Thanks for your help, Sean

Yes, it is PB.
Make sure you call out the exposed NM-B, the missing grommet, the missing drain pan, and the missing straps (the straps may not be required in your area). Also check the age of the unit. It looks old.
Is that a cord cap on the end of the NM-B??? If so, it is definitely wrong.

Is PB acceptable at the wall penetration. In California I always find copper in use at the wall extrusions to the various plumbing fixtures. Without an attic, sometimes its difficult to know if PB is present, (Inaccessible).
