Yes. PB.
Pipe/Tubing leaks. At Collars and Fittings.
One of the shut-off handle retaining screws has rust. Not stainless.
I would red flag the plumbing and recommend further review by a licensed plumber for possible/likely total potable supply plumbing pipe replacement. As well note PB class actions law suites throughout North America.

Good luck.
Regards.

Yes, it is. Banned in 1995

Generally, somewhere you should be able to find the PB2110 marking on it. Not always easy, but it is the best way to confirm. I always include a photo of the PB2110 mark when I can.

Definitely polybutylene! Just because it’s been there for 27 years (Realtor logic) doesn’t mean it won’t fail suddenly.

Edit this to fit your needs.
“The presence of polybutylene plumbing was observed. This type of piping has a known history of problems with defective connections and the pipe splitting. During inspection I did not see any problems with the polybutylene plumbing that was visible, but was unable to view all piping. Recommend that you consult with a qualified licensed plumber if you have any concerns and/or for additional information.”

Yep. And note the jointed pipe above the valve-- chances are that pipe leaked and was repaired.

I believe so, polibutylene

Yes it is PB, and in my report that would be considered a major defect.
