Hi I notice some possible oxidation at the aluminum SE cable? Does it look like corrosion and should I write it up? Thanks
Yes, absolutely. If those connections corrode they can loosen and begin to overheat.
Just make sure that’s not the antioxidant you’re looking at. I personally have never seen it come in white.
yes, write it up. This will eventually lead to poor mechanical connections as the metal decays, arcing, and maybe fire.
Thank you so much Cameron. It does not look like the antioxidant paste at all, they look like solid deposit to me. I will write it as a red flag and have an electrician to take a look
