Powder Post Beetle damage

I went into this crawlspace today and found a lot of damage at a support beam caused by exit holes from Powder Post Beetles. I recommended a structural engineer since the support beam was badly damage plus installed incorrectly. Note:The doors in the house were out of square.

I also did a pest inspection and on the state form, I reported what I seen and where - as required from the state. My question is, do I recommend treatment when there is a good chance the infested area will be removed? Interested in how you would report this.

Thank you!

Kevin,

It needs to be treated anyway, unless the hole thing if being replaced, and I don't mean just a couple of 'whole' truss webs, I mean 'the whole thing'. The infestation could be more widespread than you found.
