Promotional Calendars

Summary: NACHI Calendars for $1/ea. with custom imprinting. E-Mail Webmaster@nachi.org to place an order (in quantities of 100 or more).

James Rooff suggested a week or two ago that NACHI produce a promotional calendar to provide "12 months in front of realtors." The idea seemed to generate quite a bit of support, so we began discussing custom calendar designs. I would like to thank David Valley for the hard work he put into trying to get a customized calendar put together on such short notice.

Unfortunately we simply don't have the time to produce a entirely custom calendar for the year 2004. I've been able to find a printer that can produce a "Homes" calendar with custom printing to promote FindAnInspector.US, and each individual inspector. The calendar will cost $1 each (assuming we order more than 1,000). There is a $25 custom imprint fee that NACHI will cover. That means that each inspector that wants to place an order can get their own name and contact information printed directly on the calendar for no extra cost.

I would request that orders be for about 100 or more. If you can't handle that volume, e-mail me and we'll work something out.

Note that your name and contact information will appear where it currently says "Visit us online at http://www.FindAnInspector.US"

Please e-mail me with the number of calendars that you're willing to purchase. If/Once I receive orders for over 1,000 calendars, I will e-mail you back with information on how many lines you can customize, and how to pay. Even if you've said earlier that you would like to order X number of calendars, e-mail me now to let me know.

Thanks for all the great work our members have put into the calendar idea. I would like to see the discussion continue -- hopefully next year we will be able to produce a fully customized calendar with tips, our own images, et cetera. For the meantime I think that this is a fairly elegant alternative.

Wow Chris, you work on so many projects at once.

Anyway, if you don't get 1000 orders before the deadline, order me the balance so the deal will fly. I'll give them out with the mouse pads.

Chris,

Are we going to be able to receive these before the end of the year? I've placed my request for 100 with no response. I'm sure you're swamped with this and other things. I'm just a little anxious ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

So far looking good and what is the next step? Maybe a little custom imprint? How about that revolving sign David did for the foundation?

Somehow I missed this thread. Hope my request wasn’t to late! Did you have a deadline for orders?

Chris,

The concept is great, I don't mind the the NACHI finder website info - BUT - Why should I subsidize ( pay for ) a calendar that OVER emphasizes findaninspector.us in bold, large, type (ASHI style) and relegates my website to small print? None of the NACHI members in the area are on the buy the calendar list (they come up ahead of me on the search). I suggest de-emphasizing find.. and placing more emphasis on the inspectors site or info.

Whadiya think?

Tim,

I've modified the design slightly, but because of the deadline I've had to use a template for the bottom flap. This seemed the best way to do it with the dimensions I had to work with.

Here's the latest design:

Tim,

As Chris stated, The time frame for printing these calendars has ended. You have to take what you can get this year. I will work on a Home Inspection related calendar for 2005. And these will be printed on time, next year. I just need more input as to what members are looking for in the scenes on top of the calendar.
Send me your logo, I'll send you a sample for what you are looking for on the lower half.

What was the deadline for orders? I ordered Nov 13. Was that to late?

Gary,

I have your order. I need to send out the info this Thursday. If anyone else wants to order, e-mail me with 4 lines of information. The first line is bold, and they can't be too long.

Chris and David,

I had an idea for next years calendar, maybe kick it around a little and let me know?

In each month somewhere on the calendar, in the pic or anywhere on it put in a mistake. Have the realtors looking for this mistake every month and send in there guess to NACHI findaninspector or a special place at NACHI, lets get them coming to us. Now there guess, if right would go into a drawing with all the other right guesses and the winner would get, What Ever we think that would entice them to play and keep them looking at the calendar. Maybe limit the number of guesses per realtor, making them really look at it? Drawing once a month or yearly? Maybe get some Fancy high dollor Pen company (With our logo on it of course) to supply the prize for advertising there donated prize. What ever we come up with, this is just the start of the idea an open to all other ideas. Even if you don't like it.

Something on the line of Where is Waldo type theme.

So everybody take a shot at this idea.

James,

Sounds great.
We really do need a true Home Inspector calendar vs. the quickie generic "Beverly Hills Mansions" calendar that Chris managed to obtain through a printing company. The 2005 calendar will be much better than what Chris is distributing to Inspectors this year. This calendar idea came up so fast, that planning and printing of the 2004 calendars would have taken much too long.
I spoke with Chris last week and he had stated that he had contacted a professional printer that would print up anything we preferred, for the same exact price we are paying now for lousy generics. All we really have to do, is come up with suggestions (such as yours) for pictures and designs that will be printed on the top half of the proposed calendars. The final design and set-up will be left to up to the NACHI members preference.
So here we go again on what we want to see for Home Inspection Calendars. We have another 8/9 months to get this going, so your pics and ideas are well appreciated.

Chris,

I would like to order 100 calendars if it’s not too late to order and receive them in time to distribute them before Christmas.
