Show me where 78% of the homes have no vent. Unless this is an out-house.

Many people don't understand the reason behind drain vents and therefore simply tap into a waste line.
I've run across this on two separate occasions.

The house I inspected this morning had no vent for the bathroom sink, and it gurgled. The kitchen sink was vented in the most interesting way. The vent pipe ended under the sink with a 90 degree elbow and a 1?" to 1" reducer, with the 1" pipe cut off. Funny, didn’t smell real good under the sink either

Don’t forget about vacuum breakers (air admittance devices) installed in whirlpool tub enclosures and island sinks. I have found two that were stuck closed.
