These are tough! I’m a lawn and garden man too.

  1. Chinch bug
  2. Lady bug larvae eats thousands of aphids
  3. Cicada (not hermies though)
  4. Soil solarization to prevent nematodes
  5. Treat with pyrethrins

  4. Start with washing, vacuum, steam the bugs to death, use bed bug spray for remaining bed bugs, use bed bug traps, encase with a bed bug cover, if all else has failed call a pest control company.

Silicon dioxide, a desiccant that dries the boogers up.
Good stuff but will not permeate egg casing.

There were some nice answers. The “secret” directions stated do not answer #2. :wink: I’ll give the answer to that one also.
For #3 it’s slugs, but snails will do.
For #5 I was thinking of a tent fumigation, but heat will do.

Thanks Marc! This week did have some real “thinkers”. As in, I think I need to read up more on bugs and critters. I haven’t thought about them much since I left the hardware and garden business. Thanks again for putting the questions together.
