  1. Conductors too large for breakers. Conductors have been improperly modified to fit breakers.
  2. A short occurs when electrical current takes a shorter path back to it’s source than what was designed, vs a fault which is any abnormal electrical current.
  3. Beer and bread.

  1. Oversized stranded conductors, cut and not proper/fitting for breaker’s intended use

  2. A short circuit is an abnormal connection between two nodes of an electric circuit intended to be at different voltages. It is caused when a “hot” conductor makes contact with a neutral or ground conductor. A ground fault is an accidental contact between an energized conductor and ground or equipment frame.

  3. Wheat and rice (Beer and Sake)

  4. NOTA …1 1/2 interior diameter min.

  5. Diamonds, the Sun a new material consisting of hafnium, nitrogen, and carbon.

Good questions Marc!
You newer guys/girls need to participate in answering these questions, they make you think and learn and the prize is not bad either!

None Of The Above :ant:

  1. The red covers make it so you can’t see the breaker size. From the picture I can’t verify the wire size. Possible oversize conductor. Although stranded wire is acceptable to use this is a poor job of installing. The wires should be twisted and wiggled when being installed to insure a good connection.
  2. A short circuit is caused when a “hot” conductor makes contact with a neutral or ground conductor. A ground fault is an accidental contact between an energized conductor and ground or equipment frame.
  3. Dandelion and Burdock - weeds are hardy and adapt

Please try once more on numbers 2 and 3.
The music answers are very good, but not what I’m looking for :cowboy_hat_face:

  1. A fault current and short-circuit current are interchangeable; they both indicate the current that can flow at a point on the system during a short-circuit condition. This amount of fault current varies based upon the source of power and where the short-circuit condition is created.

  2. Cake and Ice Cream? Tough one with the “we all like” reference…

  1. French fries and pasta sauce.

Crystal Bernard - Have we forgotten what love is?

I tried again on number 3 and the song, but my #2 answer is spot on in my original post!

It sounds like this question is missing a keyword. I believe that they’re looking for the distinction between the terms ground fault and short circuit. Those two terms mean different things.

Thomas & Ryan both used the word current in #2.
On #3 gotta go with where I went to school.
CONGRATS to Thomas Glaze & Ryan Uecker for this week’s win.

  1. What do you think… … …

2) What is the difference of Fault and Short Circuit?
Fault and short circuit are different words for the same thing:
When electricity escapes from its correct circuit route, which often has dangerous consequences.
Fault is used more often in the technical language of codes, as in Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
3) What 2 foods we all like will do fine with climate change
Supply chains for two of American’s most popular plant-based foods — French fries and pasta sauce — are surprisingly resilient to climate change

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
4) What size drain is required for a washing machine?
1 1/2"
2 "
3"
4"
None of the above
2"
The standard for new washing machine drain sizes, according to the Universal Plumbing Code, is now 2 inches
