How do i get realtors to use my inspection service. I have tried sales meetings, but not all offices will let me in. I have tried just going to the office and meeting agents one-on-one but there is usually no agents there or the receptionist will not let me in. W icon_biggrin.gif hat marketing tips do you guys have, and I have read the tips on the website. I was also doing about 3 to 5 inspections a week until this week, and this week I have had none. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks, Johnny

Hi John ,

I have found new real estate agents haven’t the knowledge as more experience agents . So I offer them help and they don’t forget down the road when they need a home inspector. its a two way street out there you help them and they will help you.

So I got to know instructors , offered them help ,.,speak to their class usually the last day of classes , the instructor has real estate companies around the area come in and recruit people for their agency. this would be a good time to share Home Inspection with them .

I got this idea when I took my real estate class and got my licence.

Have a Good day !

Here in Minnesota, there is a place called Prosource and I have met a few realtors (this is right when I started to want to become a home inspector). Its a place for continuing education. When taking classes like “How to start a business” and “Houses from the Inside out”, etc…1/2 the room was filled with realtors because they have continuing education credits they need (in my state anyway). It was kind of neat to talk to them since most of the ones I talked to were 30 or older and I was only 18 (I’m 20 now).

Hope this helps

John:

Call the broker/owner or manager and tell them you want to speak at their next sales meeting. Mandatory attendance usually, (except for 100% commission offices like RE/MAX).

Then feed them something nice from a bakery so they are pre-occupied with food. If you are not used to public speaking, try asking them for questions to answer. It is easier to answer questions than deliver a prepared talk.

Give out your literature, business cards, http://www.nachi.org/binder.htm

The next real estate talk I do, I'll film and burn onto DVD for you.
