Relocating to Texas Advice

I have been an inspector since 2018 and now desire to relocate to Texas where I am originally from. I have served in ministry for 20+ years and started inspecting on the side. That side job has become my passion in life and now full time profession. I will be getting my license in TX over the next few months and am simply asking any Texas inspectors for advice on location. I desire to be in a smaller town with in reach of larger population centers like Austin/San Antonio/Fort Worth. I am fluent in Spanish also.

I am a seasoned inspector with over 3000 inspections to date. I simply desire to relocate to Texas so I can be closer to my family and also closer to my other Texas locations to help them grown. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Areas we are considering:

Johnson City
Blanco
Kerrville
Weatherford
Le Grange
Brenham
Fredericksburg
Burnett
Georgetown
Leander

You are doing 600 inspections a year? Holy shmolly. Congratulations. That is awesome.

Lon, I should have parsed that out a little bit more. I’ve actually been working for six years now and that includes all my services including radon, water, lead, mold, etc. I’m doing about 320 residential inspections per year.

That is still darn good. Some folks in this forum would like to hear some marketing tips from you.

I’ve been toying with moving back to Texas, lately. My wife would have the house packed before I finished this post if I gave her the green light. What part of Texas are you headed to?

Thanks Lon. Building a business has been amazing and hard at the same time. A lot of people on here have been extremely helpful.

We aren’t sure in regards to location. We are looking into the Austin/San Antonio area for the most part but that was the point of the post.
