Removing panel cover

I know this will get laughs. I do not think that the average HI understands the importance of PPE and being qualified.

Read this BTW this is from experts and is the law:

If nothing else do not let your clients stand near the panel.

I’m not laughing … IMHO the roof and panel inspection are the most hazardous things an HI does. Most have a healthy respect for heights, but some seem to forget how dangerous a panel inspection can be.

I am absolutely amazed sometimes by how much thought goes into doing things wrong

Thanx. Most electricians laugh at my respect for electricity.
This is the most dangerous part of my job. Second flipping on breakers.

I know that you all are careful. For the newer inspectors: in most applications the main conductors entering the panel are unfused. So if you were to lose control of the panel cover and if it were to hit the main counductors you are going to have a BIG bang.

Just have a good respect for the dangers.
