Gentlemen,
If you could please give me a rundown on the current situation in Maryland. In 1998 I started my own HI Business which I did part time, I was sucessful and had a reputation in my town as the "most thorough" inspector around. I just care about the client and wanted to give them their moneys worth. I got out of the business for a while due to time constraints. I was going to get back in about 1 year ago when I heard that there was going to be a licence required and to obtain one you had to work for another inspection company for 100 inspection or something like that....So my question is this....What, if anything is required right now. I am trained and was certified by AAHI. I am interested in NACHI if I get back in. I am also posting this same question in the Pennsylvania forum. Please give me the run down...Thanks alot

I saw your post Erik and wondered if you got any response. I am starting HI in Pa. also and wanted to do some inspections in W. Va.
Also, as far as I know right now you can do HI in Pa. as long as you are a member of a National Association. Being a member of NACHI would cover that.
That was the set up when I joined NACHI last year. It took me several months to get relocated to Pa. and get things started so I'm just getting set up now.
