Roof trusses, plywood gussets and gang nails

I didn’t write this narrative nor have one ready since this was the first time seeing site-built trusses in the wild. I spent a lot of time researching the archives and listening to the master inspectors to determine if I should write it up and come up with a narrative. I also searched Kenton Shepard’s library (I bought his template and found this one). I trusted his expertise as well as inspectors in other posts (as I mentioned in the prelude to this narrative in the above post) that almost always refer site-built trusses to a SE.

I trusted Kenton’s expertise so I used his narrative. I believe this narrative is applicable to a 1961 individual truss hand built on-site and may be appropriate for this era. I don’t know if I would have used this narrative for a 2025 build but I would have checked the archives :wink:
