SCAM from inspectors

Subject: False Claim of InterNACHI Certification by Defect Pro Malaysia

Dear InterNACHI Team,

I would like to report an individual/company that is falsely claiming to be InterNACHI certified. The person/company is using InterNACHI’s name and/or logo in their marketing materials and defect report to mislead clients, despite not being listed in the official InterNACHI member directory.

Details:
•. company: DEFECT PRO MALAYSIA
• Location: Malaysia
• Evidence of false claim: How do i attach picture and the defect report here?

This unethical behavior is damaging the reputation of certified inspectors and misleading the public. I hope InterNACHI will investigate and take appropriate action.

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards,
VENNU ANAND

@gromicko Does this mean you’ll be taking your lawsuit winning streak international?

plus, may i knw where and how for me to pass all the evidence? tqsm

You do know you can be InterNACHI certified and also not have an active listing. You will not be able to search for them if they do not have an active listing. So they might be certified. Don’t jump to conclusions.

There is an online reporting tool for this. Don’t hold your breath though, I doubt they will do anything more than email a cease and desist letter.

Thanks, Richard. I’ve received quite a number of complaints from clients about their lack of professionalism. It seems their approach is to offer extremely low and unrealistic prices just to win jobs. Unfortunately, this has created unnecessary tension between developers and homeowners. i’ve also been told that they often reassure clients by claiming to be licensed by InterNACHI. I’ll do my part in reporting this responsibly
