I’m pretty new to this, first time I’ve seen the connection where the arrow is pointing hanging down like that. Seems like water could accumulate at this point instead of dripping off the bottom. Or am i missing something?
IMO it is not an issue.

What you are looking at is the ‘splice’ for the conductors. The primary concern is where the conductors enter the weatherhead/conduit/other raceway. We do not want water/moisture to enter the system and work it’s way down to the electrical components causing rust/corrosion/failure.
The actual positioning of the splice itself is rarely a concern, and as already said, is not a concern in your photo (at this time).
Also, (since you mentioned in the title), the drip loop is about as good as it gets.
