Service Entrance question help

I haven’t seen this before on a service entrance. It appears the neutral wire going into the conduit doesn’t have any sheathing covering it from the connection. Is this common, acceptable???
thanks

That is not conduit. That is Type SE-U cable. The neutral is spirally wound around the two hots under the sheath. It is fine.

Thanks for the clarification Jim.

Jim, How would you write this one up?

David, if I am seeing bare conductor or the right side loop I would say repair or replacement is needed. I don’t know if I have ever seen UV resistant heat shrink. They may simply be at the end of their lifespan.

Thanks Jim, I did put in the report repair or replacement needed. Also told the buyers that was the #1 issue that I had found. I was surprised when I say it too.
