Service panel bonding to ground

The ground wires are doubled up at the bus bar when there are extra screws available.

Answer: Yes, if the panel legend allows this. However, pleases don’t confuse “Grounded” and " Grounding"…just to be clear here…so if you mean ground as in the bare conductors…yes, it is allowed per the legend. No, if you are speaking in terms of the " Grounded " white conductors…they should never share a termination as per 408.21 - 2002 NEC ( 408.41 -2005 NEC ).

Also should the ground and neutral be on the same bus?

Answer: Yes, in the MAIN distribution panel…NO, if you are dealing with a remote distribution panel down stream of the main panel. View my video on Grounding and Bonding at www.theelectricalguru.com on the video page.
