Shadowing Inspectors in Northern VA

I just finished the 70-hour classroom and online course and am now trying to find an inspector in or near Northern VA to shadow. Most of the companies near me say they don’t provide that service. 1 of them said they will let me shadow them, but then ghosted me. Another said they will let me shadow, but it will cost $2000 paid up front and they are not immediately available as they have other students. I was wondering if anyone is in the area and can provide me with any contacts that would be able to help me out. I live in Loudoun County, and can easily go to Fairfax, Prince William, Winchester, Front Royal, Arlington, Alexandria or really any where in the DC, Maryland, Va Region.

And, you may want to contact some CMIs or CPIs within 40 to 50 miles, or closer, to your area and communicate with them. Maybe one, or more, will help you. Some inspectors feel as though they are training their competition by ride-alongs or mentoring or hiring and some are into it just for the $.

I’m going through the same deal in NOVA. Stay in touch, perhaps we can help each other. I can offer my house for an inspection training if you can do the same. We just need to find an inspector willing to do it. That will at least count as one inspection for each of us.
