Should I recommend replacement of Murray CTL panel

Have an old Murray CTL panel here, due to the fact that Murray has been phased out by Siemens is there a reason to recommend “consider replacing the panel” due to it being phased out?

By “Phased out.” Do you mean “No longer made”…

That is correct, they are no longer made and Siemens has taken over Murray. Is it legit to recommend replacement?

Are you recommending a replacement due to a safety hazard or just that the panel is filled (technically overfilled) to capacity?

No… If that was the case you would be recomending replacement of just about everything in a house that was over ten years of age!.. The only breaker panels that my company recommends replacemnet on are FPE and Zinsco.

Now if you see an issue inside the panel that needs to be addressed, then you should tell your client that an electrician needs to correct/repair X.

From what I have read, Siemens acquired Murray, a manufacturer of electrical distribution equipment in 1990. Almost 36 years ago.
Murray panels are no longer manufactured after being phased out of production by Siemens in 2019. Roughly 6 years ago.
The only issue I see are OCPD or breaker recalls.

To answer your question. Murray panels were only completely phased out, no longer manufactured , making them vintage/obsolete some 6 years ago. If there are no recalls on the panel board itself, and depending upon what you discovered, I would not refer a panel replacement unless the panel itself it damaged beyond repair.
Just my 2 cent based upon the question. "Have an old Murray CTL panel here, due to the fact that Murray has been phased out by Siemens is there a reason to recommend “consider replacing the panel” due to it being phased out??

As part of the home inspection, unless there is a visible defect or the panel has been modified in some way, I would not recommend replacement.
