We found this evidence and more that the intellectual property (I.P.) at issue is in fact InterNACHI’s. Since Spectora can’t flag InterNACHI’s I.P. for not being InterNACHI I.P. (even Report Host states that they are InterNACHI’s property), Spectora is no longer obligated to (and won’t dare) delete them. This resolution only applies to InterNACHI members of course.
Thanks for getting this squared away and for the follow up. A lot of us using Spectora knew something like this had to have happened. It would have been nice if Spectora could have shared some of this last week when they sent out messages saying templates weren’t being deleted after all. I wasn’t going to trust their unexplained chenge without knowing something of why it happened, so thank you again for putting this out here.
Very important statement here!!
Nick happened to leave out a very important word… “CURRENT”!
If you are an EX-Member, (let your membership lapse), you no longer have InterNachi’s protection!
This applies to EVERYTHING that InterNachi offers it’s members at no cost!
Just a note to say “thank you” to Nick and Ben Gromicko for nailing this issue to the wall!
WHO you gonna call!
I’ve written 100% of my narratives myself, many of them multiple times, and have never taken someone else’s comment and represented it as mine.
This should be a big relief to all those Spectora users who were worried about losing access to their past reports!
I just spoke with Kevin from Spectora. He’s boarding a plane now but was very grateful. He’s a good guy. He said he’ll post here as soon as he can.
All’s well that ends well.
Good job Nick!
As a Spectora user, this is great news!
Thank you for protecting your InterNachi members.
Thank you!!!
I am a member and my templates were deleted. Is this just referring to the reports not being deleted?
Nothing being deleted from here on out. We found plenty of evidence that our narratives, templates, and checklists are InterNACHI’s and that we didn’t steal them from anyone. Spectora still has those reports, they saved them for you. All InterNACHI members should be good.
I had three templates that were deleted on the 6th and received an email today saying they were going to delete another one on the 13th. Are you saying that they will put the deleted templates back?
Is it possible you had narratives that were not determined to be NACHI’s?
Nothing of InterNACHI’s is being deleted because it doesn’t fall into the agreement that Spectora and ReportHost executed. We have a lot of evidence that the stuff they were claiming was theirs… is actually ours. The email I posted in post #1 is an example. Therefore Spectora need not delete anything of ours (which is also yours due to your membership in InterNACHI) as of today. And they are not deleting it. You should be all good from here on out. Sorry it took me so long to resolve this but I didn’t have standing as I wasn’t a party to the agreement and I couldn’t file an injunction as irreparable harm wasn’t being done. Ben found a third way by going through countless old archived emails.
Thanks, Nick and Ben! Proud to be an InterNACHI member.
That’s a very good question. Are some of the comments that report host flagged actually their comments?
I was using the Internachi template to start out. I used that as a base then made a condo/townhome template, manufactured home template, residential template and residential template 2.0. These templates were deleted as they said they would originally on the 6th of November. Now that the agreement has been made I was just wondering how it will affect what has already been deleted? Does this also mean that reports are still going to be available?
Great news! Thank you Nick, Ben, and Kenton for stepping up to the plate on this! Very happy with this outcome!
So when are you suing Report Host for false accusations, trauma, and defamation??
