Hi, We recently purchased a new property in NC and got a home inspection done. We found that the builder had installed the incorrect tiles in one of the bathrooms. The tiles installed is not the same as the one that was specified in our contract. Would be grateful if you could share your thoughts on what remedial actions can be taken. Is the builder required to fix it (they didn’t provide what they had mentioned in the contract). Thanks in advance.
Standing water? Regardless of what this post is about, we’re home inspectors, not attorneys. Take your contract to your attorney. This is what they get paid to do.
If the builder did not install the tiles that were specified in the agreement, it would seem like he would need to replace them with what was specified. However, as Josh pointed out, we are not attorneys. Sooooo…take what I said with a grain of salt.
