The dreaded call.....

Watch the video

No I’m not!
All my windows and doors have the tape on before the siding.
Are you friggin’ jokers telling me that this is incorrect?
You are losers if you think so.
This goes to show who are the dumbass around here.Wannabees!
That is why I don’t give credence to most posters.
More than 3/4 of the advice people giving others around here is a total line of crap.
They do it just to make themselves look good. Pure worthless information.

So when condensation that derives from the interior and accumulates on the house wrap where does it drain at?

Copy and go to this site / Then get down about Pg 5 - 7

Its on stucco BUT shows good details on window / door wrap

First off, before you accuse me and others of being losers, you better get your **** together first.

First you tell us that you wrap the WRB around the opening first and then install the window/door and flash.

Then you show a small clip of a window with flashing on a Zip System wall sheathing with no wrap on the wall.

I would say you don’t have a clue what you are talking about.

Sorry, you are wrong.

Oh! so now you did you internet search!
You are still a loser.
You are one of the biggest wannabee.
Make yourself look good.
You are just babbling.
I’m done with you …
I’m done with this thread. And no ! I ain’t tuckin’ my tail and running.
I just know when I’m talking to a fool.

And a fourth…

And fifth

Stephen do you have a picture of the caulking you called out? Was it a lack of caulking or improper install or failed or?

They caulked the head flashing with Hardiplank siding instead of leaving the required 1/4 inch gap for drainage.

Even if the wheel gets reinvented, being able to install flashing in a weatherboard pattern and properly integrating with barrier prevents problems in Stephens pics.

A spin on the OP.

Let’s stay Stephen said nothing about caulking at the top/head whatever… would the moisture intruding into the head of the opening be his/your’s or my fault? If the moisture was specifically due to components below or concealed by exterior cladding, enough said. Except, that many of us remind our readers in a report that such barriers and installation of flashing’s are concealed from view
